Republic of Ireland senior team manager Giovanni Trapattoni has named his starting team for the Carling Nations Cup opening game against Wales which takes place in the Aviva stadium tomorrow (Tuesday) at 7.45pm.
Trapattonni has confirmed ten of his line-up and has yet to decide between Darron Gibson and Paul Green for the central midfield role alongside Glenn Whelan.
Stoke City striker Jonathan Walters will make his first senior international start as Kevin Doyle's partner in attack having been introduced as a substitute in the last game against Norway.
As he indicated yesterday, Trapattoni has afforded debut caps to Ciaran Clark at left-back and Seamus Coleman on the right side of midfield.
