Republic of Ireland Under-16 manager John Morling has named a squad of 18 players for this week's opening fixtures of the season against Estonia in Dublin.
The nations will meet on Wednesday night at Home Farm FC, Whitehall (7.30pm) before facing each other again two days later on Friday at the Oscar Traynor Development Centre in Coolock (12 noon).
Morling began the identification process last season at Under-15 level with games in Qatar, Holland as well as the tri-nations tournament held in Dublin.
Last month, an extended squad assembled for an elite training camp in Enfield for three days to prepare them for the campaign ahead.
Morling's duties in Malta this week as Under-17 head coach means his assistant Tom O'Connor will take control for this double-header.
