Republic of Ireland Under-15 Head Coach Niall Harrison has named an 18-player squad for next weeks double-header against the Aspire Academy in Qatar.
These are the first pair of matches for the squad this season following a selection process that began last June at the SFAI Kennedy Cup tournament featuring the 32 leagues from around the country. Many of the stars of that tournament, including Noe Baba from the Mayo League have been selected.
The World-class facility in Doha has hosted the Ireland Under-15 group for the past four seasons and on each occasion the friendly matches have proven enormously beneficial for the players in this youngest of all international squads.
Ireland will play their first game against Aspire on Tuesday 7 December followed by a second outing two days later on Thursday 9 December.
Harrison, who will be assisted by coach Colin O Brien and goalkeeping coach Tim Dalton said: "The Under-15 international season is about educating the group on playing different styles in different parts of Europe and across the world.
"This is a massive opportunity for our lads to train and play within a top-class facility for the five days they spend at the Aspire Academy.
"It was difficult to whittle the squad down to 18 for this trip but others will get their chance in the double-header away to Finland in January."
