Martin O Neill today (Tuesday) named a final 29 man squad for Irelands four friendly games in May/June, starting with the Three International friendly against Turkey on May 25, followed by Italy in Craven Cottage, London on May 31, Costa Rica in PPL Stadium, Philadelphia on June 6 and Portugal in Metlife Stadium, New Jersey on June 10. The squad are due to assemble on Thursday in Malahide.
Speaking at todays press conference in Waterford City Hall, the Republic of Ireland manager said,
"I am looking forward to working with the players over the coming weeks which will be important as we work towards our opening qualification matches in September. The matches will be about getting to know the players better and changing them around a little bit in terms of personnel in different matches."
Tickets for the Three International Friendly game against Turkey in Aviva Stadium on Sunday, May 25 are now on sale from www.fai.ie at just €10 for children and starting at €20 for adults. The game will be preceded by the FAI Junior Cup Final in association with Aviva and Umbro between Ballynanty Rovers and St Michaels FC at 2pm.
