Clarion Hotel Four-nation Tour

The Republic of Ireland Under-19s can lift the Clarion Hotel Four Nations Tournament trophy on Tuesday if they can defeat Portugal at the Tallaght Stadium (kick-off 3pm).
377531Inspired by two goals from midfield sensation Conor Clifford, the young Irish side defeated Turkey 2-0 at Richmond Park last night, having drawn with the Netherlands on Saturday evening. Sean McCaffrey's team is currently level with the Netherlands on four points heading into the final day of the tournament. With the Netherlands set to face Turkey in the Carlisle Grounds tomorrow at 1pm, a win for Ireland in the Tallaght Stadium could see the Irish side lift the trophy.
McCaffrey is pleased with how his side played in the opening two matches of the tournament and is hopeful that they can defeat Portugal tomorrow:
"I was very pleased with the two performances from the squad over the weekend. We completely dominated against Turkey, who won the bronze medal at the Under-17 UEFA Championships just over a year ago, and against the Netherlands we more than held our own.
"We've been without some of our main players this week such as Aaron Doran, Gavin Gunning and Conor Henderson but lads have come and performed well. Derry City duo Shane McEleney and Darren McCauley were excellent on their international debuts against Turkey.
"Portugal are sure to be a class act on Tuesday but we're full of confidence and I'm certain the crowd at Tallaght Stadium will be similarly supportive as those fans who got behind us at the Carlisle Grounds and Richmond Park on Saturday and Sunday," added McCaffrey.
Tickets for the Republic of Ireland v Portugal can be purchased at the Tallaght Stadium prior to kick-off. Tickets are priced €5 for adults and €1 for Under-16s, with all proceeds from children's tickets going directly to Our Lady's Children's Hospital, Crumlin.
