(Ireland win penalty shoot-out 4-2)
Ireland's u15s had to come from behind to earn a draw against Wales in their Northern Ireland Millennium Tournament opener yesterday.
But the Irish boys went on to win the penalty shoot-out, which will count if these two teams finish level on points after the group stage.
Stephen Elliott of Manchester City gave Ireland the lead just before half time. But the Welsh came back to equalise, then forge ahead, early in the second half.
Irish manager Vinny Butler made an inspired substitution, bringing on Cherry Orchard's Ian McGrane. McGrane nabbed the equaliser midway through the second half.
Ireland dominated from there to the end and had several chances to grab the winner. But at least the penalty shoot-out win gives them the edge heading into the second series of games.

Ireland:Kelly (Cherry Orchard), Sharkey (Belvedere), Fitzgerald (St. Joseph's), Whelan (Manchester City), Burke (Cherry Orchard), Byrne (Stella Maris), Bradley (Lourdes Celtic), Keegan (Home Farm), Chawla (Mervue United), Elliott (Manchester City), Shields (Cherry Orchard).

Subs: McGrane (Cherry Orchard) for Chawla, Salmon (Lourdes Celtic) for Byrne
