Match report
Ireland U15 girls have set themselves up for a Final showdown with hosts Germany on Friday morning after they impressively defeated Wales 6-0 on Wednesday night.

Highlight of the night was a magnificent 4 goal haul from Amy Ryan (Stella Maris). The young Irish striker set the ball rolling after only 5minutes when she outpaced the square Welsh defence to steer the ball into the bpottom of the net.

Ten minutes later Julie Ann Russell (Salt hill Devon) made it two when she got on the end of a Ryan pull back following a mazy run.

Ryan made it 3 with a shot from 15yards and once again outpaced the back four to send the Irish in 4up at half time.

Ireland continued with their spirited performance in the second half when girl of the match Ryan once more took her chance beautifully to stroke it hom eerarly in the second half.

Ryan fellow striker Lucy Hannon who had worked tirelessly all night was rewarded for her endeavour, when she calmly stroked home a penalty after she herself was upended in the box with 15 minutes to go..

Marie Price Bolger assistant manager was jubilant after the game

'It was an amazing performance from the girls, particularly given their tender years. They were full of spirit and skill and they can go into the Final clash against Tournament favourites Germany with plenty of confidence.

Nobody around here is giving the Irish any chance of success in this Final game, particularly after the 9-1 drubbing they handed out to Scotland tonight, but there is a huge spirit in this squad and a very positive frame of mind.

One thing for sure this Tournament has been a fantastic learning curve for the girls and they have relished every minute of it. It is also encouraging to know that all of the 18 strong squad have featured in the games so far indicating a strength in depth.
