Debuts for Seamus Mc Donagh, and Eamon O'Keeffe. 30th International Cap for Jimmy Holmes.

Eamon O'Keeffe qualified to play as his grandparents were from Ireland. Although FIFA declared that he was ineligable as he had represented England in a semi professional game against Scotland. O'Keeffee fought this case and won.
