Match report
A first half goal by Alan Judge which was added to by Adam Rooney in the second half was enough to see Ireland get off to the proverbial flyer against host nation Macedonia in the Under 19 UEFA Qualifying Tournament taking place in Strumica, Macedonia.

Ireland dominated the first half and could and maybe should have gone in at half time leading by more than a solitary goal scored when Alan Judge got on the end of a cross by Keith Treacy.

With Stephen Gleeson and Alan Power in midfield excelling Ireland had more of the ball and deservedly got their second goal after 76 minutes when Adam Rooney continued his phenominal record in underage football with his tenth goal ina as many starts.

Ireland scored a third goal which was disallowed for offside in the dying moments. This goal may prove crucial as Holland defeated Belarus 3-1 in the other game.
