Declan Field (born in Dublin on July 26, 1982) is an Irish footballer currently without a club.
Career Field played his schoolboy football at Leicester Celtic alongside the likes of Andy Reid, Barry Roche and John Lester and also the famous nursery club Belvedere. His performances attracted cross-channel clubs and he signed for Arsenal.
However, his career was hamperered after a stabbing which threatened his life, and though he played for Arsenal's U17 and U19 teams he never made an appearance for the first team.
He returned to Dublin and signed for Pete Mahon's Bohemians, making his debut against Shelbourne in October 2001.
He has also played for Monaghan United.
Former Livingston and Blackpool and Norwich midfielder Wes Hoolahan once described Field as the best player he has ever played with while at Belvedere F.C.
