Joe Carolan is a former professional football player.

Born in Dublin, he initially played with Home Farm at youth level before moving to Manchester United where he featured in their FA Youth Cup winning team in 1956.

On 22nd November 1958 he made his debut against Luton Town.

He played 71 times for United between 1958 and 1960 and won 2 caps for the Republic of Ireland .

He joined Brighton and Hove Albion in December 1960.
