The article refers to recent media speculation that Italian businessman Giovanni di Stefano and his attempts to invest in Irish Football. Included in the article is a reference to Drogheda United which alleges that Mr di Stefano has had preliminary talks with a view to investing in the recently crowned Setanta Sports Cup champions. Waterford United statement Media reports over the last number of days have speculated on the proposed investment in a number of eircom league clubs by a Mr. Giovanni Di Stefano. In the course of these reports, it has been suggested that Waterford United has been in discussions with Mr. Di Stefano. |
