Folan in for Ireland There are two new faces in the 24 man Republic of Ireland senior squad for the forthcoming Euro 2008 qualifiers against Wales and Slovakia at Croke Park later this month. Manager Stephen Staunton has called up Wigan Athletic’s 6ft 2ins striker Caleb Folan and Celtic’s 20-year-old defender Darren O’Dea. “Both players have been impressive in recent weeks and deserve their call-up,” said Staunton. Vice-captain Shay Given and striker Kevin Doyle, who missed the 2-1 win over San Marino in February through injury, return as does Birmingham City defender Stephen Kelly.
